Installation & System Requirements

  • You can use infraWizard on AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map 3D versions 2022 through 2026.

    If you have only AutoCAD LT installed on your machine, you’ll not be able to use infraWizard because AutoCAD LT doesn’t allow using add-ins.

  • In order to use infraWizard, you basically need a 64-bit version of AutoCAD 2018 through 2023 installed on Microsoft Windows operating system.

    Some other applications are required to utilize certain features of infraWizard:

    • If you run infrWizard on AutoCAD Civil 3D, you’ll be able to utilize C3D surfaces to pick ground levels of the nodes and draw the ground line in longitudinal profiles.
    • If you’d like to export the BIM models of your pipe networks into nwc files to append them to Navisworks projects, you need to install NWC Export Utility which is a free add-in from Autodesk available at this link.
    • If you’d like to import the nwc files to Navisworks, you need to have Navisworks Manage installed on your computer. You’ll need also to use Microsoft Excel to prepare the data tables of pipe networks to be linked to the Navisworks BIM model.
Licensing

  • We are currently offering three license types for infraWizard which are 250-Pipes, 1000-Pipes, and Unlimited.

    The only difference between the three licenses is the project size limit which is defined by the total number of pipes in a project, while all licenses provide full functionality of the application.

    All licenses are time limited with one-year term.

  • An infraWizard license includes the following:

    • License to install and use infraWizard add-in application for AutoCAD and Civil 3D in engineering design for commercial purposes, on a single computer, for the license duration which is one year.
    • Technical support through infraWizard’s website (support tickets) and email.
    • Access to all application updates to be released during the license term.

  • We offer a 250-Pipes free license, which is suitable for most academic and student projects. This license is permanently available at no cost and can be obtained directly from the infraWizard online store.

    The 1000-Pipes and Unlimited Pipes editions are designed for medium and large commercial projects, and are therefore available as paid licenses only.

  • Yes, you can upgrade a purchased license to a higher one. However, this will not be done through the online store.

    Please use the Contact form to provide us with the details of your license and the required upgrade to issue you an invoice for the amount of price difference. We’ll then upgrade your license and provide you with new license keys.

    Please bear in mind that the expiry date of your license will remain unchanged.

  • If you open an infraWizard project that contains a number of pipes exceeding the limit of your license, you’ll be able to use some of the application commands but the majority will be disabled.

    You’ll be able to carry out the following operations:

    • Use single pipe and single node editing by double-click.
    • Make graphical editing to the pipe networks using AutoCAD commands like Move, Stretch, and Rotate.
    • Change plan styles.
    • Change crossing settings to review interference between networks.
    • Change the Low/High settings to review the low and high points in pressure networks.

    You’ll not however be able to carry out any of the following operations:

    • Creating new pipes either from AutoCAD entities, by importing data files, or by splitting existing pipes.
    • Group editing of network elements.
    • Creating new longitudinal profiles.
    • Exporting a BIM model.
    • Exporting data files.

  • To transfer an infraWizard license from one computer to another, follow these steps:

    1. Release the license from the current computer
    Open infraWizard application and replace the current license key with a 250-Pipes free license key. This effectively releases the paid license from the computer.
    You can obtain the free license key by placing a free order at the infraWizard online store: https://infrawizard.com/store and registering the computer name for that license. The detailed registration steps are explained in the infraWizard Installation and Activation Guide. You do not need to uninstall or reinstall the application.

    2. Activate the license on the new computer
    On the new computer, follow the same license registration steps using the order number of your paid license (e.g., Unlimited/1000 Pipes edition) and the new computer name to generate a new license key.

    Important note:
    Once a computer name is registered, it remains locked for 30 days in the online registration system. If the previous computer was registered less than 30 days ago, please contact our support team at support@infrawizard.com and provide the new computer name. We will update the license record on our side and issue a new license key for you.

Delivery and Refund Policies

  • All products available for purchase on infrawizard.com are digital products and delivered via digital download only. No physical products are shipped for all products.

    Your file(s) will be available to download once payment is confirmed. There will be an opportunity to download right after checkout is complete and payment is received. Download link(s) for product(s) purchased will be emailed to the email address customer used in the checkout process.

  • We offer a full money-back guarantee for all purchases made on our website. If you are not satisfied with the product that you have purchased from us, you can get your money back no questions asked. You are eligible for a full reimbursement within 14 calendar days of your purchase.
    After the 14-day period you will no longer be eligible and won’t be able to receive a refund. We encourage our customers to try the product in the first two weeks after their purchase to ensure it fits their needs.
